Solid 3/4" hardwood floors have and always will be one of the most popular flooring choices on the market.
Every year there are more hardwood flooring options added to the mix.
Oiled Finishes, textured finishes, distressed finishes, wider widths, and new modern colours.
Engineered hardwood flooring has gained in popularity over the last decade. If you are searching for a hardwood floor, and leaning on the 5" or wider look, we strongly recommend choosing an engineered hardwood flooring, versus a solid wood.
The reasoning behind that is; the wider width of a board, the more it will expand and contract, by choosing an engineered hardwood, it is much more dimensionally stable, therefore; won't expand and contract as much.
Engineered Hardwood flooring is made using a real wood veneer (generally 3mm or thicker) with a plywood or HDF core. It can be installed by nailing, stapling, glueing, or floating depending on the product.
All of our wood products follow American/Canadian regulations. And most are produced in Canada or America.
